This review is a year late, but I cannot say enough amazing things about Mc G Cakes. Brian was an absolute gem to work with on our wedding cake. I’m from the US and had no chance to come to Ireland to taste test or shop around. Our wedding planner suggested Brian and we couldn’t not have been happier with the results. He worked with us long distance to come up with multiple sketched designs. He’s so good the choices were so hard to pick only one. What he created was absolute perfection. It was a show stopper and people to this day still talk about the cake. And the taste - amazing.It was also 2 of our friend’s birthdays. Brian also made two small cakes for them. They were stunning. I wasn’t expecting much but got more than I could have ever imagined. If you’re not sure who to pick, seriously, look no further. Can’t wait to come back and visit.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you for the absolutely gorgeous wedding cake on Sunday. You took a few simple ideas and totally blew them out of the water. The whole table set up was a work of art! And it tasted as amazing as it looked. A huge thank you to Brian for making the most beautiful and delicious chocolate biscuit cake for our wedding day. I wanted something simple and fuss free but in hindsight we should have gone for 5 or 6 tiers - the cake was all eaten by the end of our day 2! People were raving about it! Brian was fantastic to work with from start to finish. We traveled from Chicago to Ireland for our wedding so there were a lot of logistics to work through & coordinating with McG Cakes was a breeze. Our wedding cake was a work of art (it doesn’t seem fair to simply call it a cake) and it tasted FAB! Our guests were raving about it, and said it’s ruined them for all other wedding cakes. As soon as we saw photos of other wedding cakes from McG, there was no other option for us! Our cake, the confectionery, the setup - everything was amazing! It was a wonderful surprise to see it all when we got to the dining room. Brian recommended adding some pink sails to the cake that were even better than the picture he showed as example. We loved it all. As did our guests!

Our wedding cake was better than we ever could have asked for! The design was amazing - Brian took the simple ideas we had and created an stunning display that every one of our guests still talks about. The cake flavours were by far the hardest decision we had to make while planning our wedding, as they were all absolutely superb! The cake itself tasted incredible (so much so, our guest were fighting over the leftovers in the morning). It was everything we dreamed of! 5 stars!

Mcg cakes made my beautiful wedding cake display 3 weeks ago at kilronan castle. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It was perfect & better than I ever pictured. I booked mcg cakes straight away when we set our wedding date back in 2019. We had to postpone twice and Brian was so helpful each time. We ordered the chocolate coated brownie hearts for Valentine's Day and they were absolutely delish! The brownies weren't too sweet at all, and my husband, who isn't mad about sweet things said they were the most delicious brownies he'd ever had! There was a mix up with my order, and the candle I bought with the order wasn't sent out with the brownies, but Brian was super quick and helpful and sent the candle out to me immediately. Great customer care, and incredibly tasty treats!

Mc Gs never ceases to impress us! Brian is doing amazing work and we get to watch his witchcraft all the time on Instragram! Talk about drool worthy!We hired Brian to make a cake for our wedding and he went above and beyond anything we expected. The cake was extremely moist and the flavors were incredible. We did not get a chance to do a cake tasting because we are from Florida, so we were taking a risk but extremely glad we chose him! Now, we are just sad we did not get to try all of the other flavors! The actual design of our cake was spot on. We showed him things that we liked and did not like and he created a masterpiece! Brian was the BEST supplier EVER! Seriously, our wedding cake was just so perfect, even better than what we had imagined and so, so reasonably priced. Brian went above and beyond for us, he was so professional and just took the pressure off us from day one. He was in contact with our florist, organised delivery with our venue, set everything up and gave cutting instructions to the kitchen. He took care of every detail, even the stuff we didn't even think needed to be organised. You'd be doing yourself a huge favour by having Brian on your wedding supplier team.

Can’t recommend Brian enough, I’ve had two very special cakes created by him, both very beautiful to look at and very creative. It was very easy to communicate with Mc G Cakes with the ideas I had and he was Definitely able to create one of a kind cakes, that tasted as good as they look.

Highly recommend Mc g cakes, ordered cupcakes for a hen party at the weekend, they were gorgeous, not like anything I've ever tasted. The attention to detail was amazing, ( nearly too good to eat) �. Thanks again brian!!

It’s always easy working with Brian of Mc G cakes. When I’m styling a room the cake is one of my many focal points to consider so it has to blend into the design. Brian listens attentively to the concept, sketches my thoughts onto paper and then if their are any tweaks he makes the adjustments. This is important when styling as all the concepts needs to flow. The flavours are amazing. Due to the variation of my requirements Brian sometimes even needs to consult with a florist or even my carpenter as bespoke & custom made designs are all part of the Weddings I create.
