Brian did our day before desserts and wedding cake for our Wedding at Markree Castle and everything was absolutely amazing and delicious. The day before desserts people were obsessed with and all went that night. The wedding cake was so beautiful and tasted delicious as well.Brian was great to work with and share what we wanted for our wedding. Exceptional treats! I am not exaggerating. I looked on social media for years before finally getting the opportunity to try them when the pop-shop opened and boy was I not disappointed. The presentation always looks superb. I thought noway does it taste as good as it looks it must be like any other baked good but I was so wrong. When you eat the baked goods you can taste the creative passion gone into every single bite. The kinder bueno filling is so unique and creamy. The cookie sandwich is chocolately and creamy. If you have not yet tried these baked goods you will not regreat trying these believe me. Don't walk Run.. as this place can often sell out of certain baked goods early.

This review is a year late, but I cannot say enough amazing things about Mc G Cakes. Brian was an absolute gem to work with on our wedding cake. I’m from the US and had no chance to come to Ireland to taste test or shop around. Our wedding planner suggested Brian and we couldn’t not have been happier with the results. He worked with us long distance to come up with multiple sketched designs. He’s so good the choices were so hard to pick only one. What he created was absolute perfection. It was a show stopper and people to this day still talk about the cake. And the taste - amazing.It was also 2 of our friend’s birthdays. Brian also made two small cakes for them. They were stunning. I wasn’t expecting much but got more than I could have ever imagined. If you’re not sure who to pick, seriously, look no further. Can’t wait to come back and visit.

It was a wonderful surprise to see it all when we got to the dining room. Brian recommended adding some pink sails to the cake that were even better than the picture he showed as example. We ordered the chocolate coated brownie hearts for Valentine's Day and they were absolutely delish! The brownies weren't too sweet at all, and my husband, who isn't mad about sweet things said they were the most delicious brownies he'd ever had! There was a mix up with my order, and the candle I bought with the order wasn't sent out with the brownies, but Brian was super quick and helpful and sent the candle out to me immediately. Brian, thank you so much for the epic cake and dessert table, it was quite literally breathtaking! I couldn't have imagined how beautiful it would turn out and we are so grateful to you for just being so easy to work with and really taking any hassle or effort out of that part of the wedding - we literally had to do nothing except give a basic outline of colour and what we had in mind, all the work was taken care of by you! A huge thank you to Brian for making the most beautiful and delicious chocolate biscuit cake for our wedding day. I wanted something simple and fuss free but in hindsight we should have gone for 5 or 6 tiers - the cake was all eaten by the end of our day 2! People were raving about it! Our wedding cake was better than we ever could have asked for! The design was amazing - Brian took the simple ideas we had and created an stunning display that every one of our guests still talks about. The cake flavours were by far the hardest decision we had to make while planning our wedding, as they were all absolutely superb! The cake itself tasted incredible (so much so, our guest were fighting over the leftovers in the morning). It was everything we dreamed of! 5 stars!

Brian made and delivered our wedding cake just a few days ago. He communicated well throughout the whole process and gave recommendations on cake flavors and designs as we were not local to Ireland and could not attend any tasting. The design was exactly what we had imagined and in person the cake looked spectacular! The cake itself was delicious! Overall a wonderful experience!
